Andhra Pradesh strengthened ties with Taiwanese industry as Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu and Minister Nara Lokesh held talks on investments, semiconductor manufacturing, electronics, skilling and talent development.
Amaravati: Andhra Pradesh took another significant step towards strengthening its partnership with Taiwan as Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu held discussions with a high-level delegation of leading Taiwanese companies and industry representatives on Wednesday. The talks focused on expanding cooperation in investments, advanced manufacturing, electronics, semiconductors and emerging technologies.
The delegation comprised representatives from globally recognised companies and institutions, including Delta Electronics, BenQ, CTBC Bank, DIMERCO, Masterhill, Nan Pao Resins, Ever-Clear Environmental Engineering, Sheng Huei Tech, Tech-Top Engineering, K.S. Terminals, Sandsun, Zilei Construction & Engineering and Cappella Sports.
During the meeting, the Andhra Pradesh government highlighted the state's investor-friendly policies, robust infrastructure, strategic logistics network and rapidly growing manufacturing ecosystem. The Chief Minister outlined the government's long-term vision of positioning Andhra Pradesh as a preferred destination for electronics, semiconductor manufacturing, information technology, advanced manufacturing and export-oriented industries.
He reaffirmed the state's commitment to ensuring policy stability, transparent governance, faster approvals and proactive support for investors seeking to establish or expand operations in Andhra Pradesh.
Members of the Taiwanese delegation shared their experiences of investing in India and expressed interest in exploring new opportunities across various industrial sectors in Andhra Pradesh. Both sides agreed to strengthen institutional engagement and promote greater collaboration in manufacturing, technology transfer and industrial development.
Later, HRD, IT, Electronics & Communications and RTGS Minister Nara Lokesh held a dedicated interaction with the delegation, focusing on workforce development and talent creation.
The discussions centred on equipping Andhra Pradesh's youth with industry-relevant skills to meet the growing demand in Taiwan's manufacturing and technology sectors. Key areas of cooperation included electronics and semiconductor manufacturing, precision engineering, industrial automation, healthcare and other high-skill industries.
The meeting also explored initiatives such as Mandarin language training, industry-specific certification programmes, internships, student and faculty exchange programmes, joint research projects and workplace-readiness initiatives aimed at creating a globally competitive talent pool.
The interactions concluded with both Andhra Pradesh and the Taiwanese industry representatives expressing confidence that stronger collaboration in investment, manufacturing, skilling and talent development would generate new industrial growth and employment opportunities for the state in the coming years.
