Andhra Pradesh I&PR Department wins SCOCH Silver for its digital media accreditation system, while AP Digital Corporation bags Gold for Quantum Valley, Amaravati.
New Delhi: The Andhra Pradesh Information and Public Relations (I&PR) Department has received national recognition for its digital and transparent approach to media accreditation, winning the SCOCH Silver Award in the Governance category.
At the same event, AP Digital Corporation Limited secured the SCOCH Gold Award in the Digital and Social Media Marketing category for its work on “Quantum Valley, Amaravati.”
The awards were presented at the 109th SCOCH Summit held at the India Habitat Centre in New Delhi on Saturday.
The I&PR Department was recognised for its Media Accreditation Management System, which has digitised the accreditation process and introduced technology-enabled procedures for application submission and verification.
The award was received on behalf of the department by Joint Director I. Suryachandra Rao and R.I.E. Dr. Nagaraja.
According to the department, the digital system was introduced to make the accreditation process more transparent, efficient and accessible to eligible media representatives.

The department said the system has helped streamline the accreditation process while ensuring that eligible journalists receive consideration in accordance with prescribed rules.
Adding to Andhra Pradesh’s recognition at the national level, AP Digital Corporation Limited, functioning under the I&PR Department, won the SCOCH Gold Award for its “Quantum Valley, Amaravati” initiative in the Digital and Social Media Marketing category.
The award was accepted by Digital Corporation Executive Director Rani Susmita and Special Officer Seshu Kumar.
The recognition highlights the role of digital communication and social media platforms in promoting major state initiatives and strengthening public outreach.
Reacting to the awards, I&PR Department Director Viswanathan said the twin recognitions reflected the collective efforts of the department's officials and staff.
He congratulated the entire I&PR team for their contribution to strengthening the media accreditation system and appreciated the officials and staff of AP Digital Corporation for securing the Gold Award.
Viswanathan said the awards should be viewed as recognition of the sustained efforts of the teams involved in implementing the digital initiatives. He also reaffirmed the department’s commitment to strengthening transparency, improving service delivery and adopting technology-driven solutions.
The two awards mark separate areas of recognition for Andhra Pradesh at the SCOCH Summit, covering both governance-oriented digital systems and digital and social media communication.
The I&PR Department’s accreditation platform was recognised for its approach to managing applications and verification through a digital, rule-based process, while AP Digital Corporation’s award recognised its work in digital and social media marketing for Quantum Valley, Amaravati.
The awards were received in the presence of officials and representatives participating in the 109th SCOCH Summit in New Delhi.
