Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu interacted with students, parents and teachers at Rampachodavaram, urging children to protect the environment while tribal mothers praised the Talliki Vandanam scheme.
Rampachodavaram: Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu stepped into the role of a teacher during the fourth Parents-Teachers Meeting held at a Government Upper Primary School in Rampachodavaram, where he personally reviewed students' academic progress, interacted with parents and teachers, and encouraged greater community participation in education.
During his classroom visit, the Chief Minister examined students' report cards and explained their academic performance, attendance and health records directly to parents. Stressing the importance of parental involvement, he directed the District Collector to ensure that report cards of students studying in residential Ashram schools are delivered to their parents at home for easier access.
Naidu also reviewed the use of smart boards in classrooms and discussed measures to improve learning outcomes through technology-enabled education.
Interacting with the Chief Minister, several tribal mothers said the Talliki Vandanam scheme had reduced their financial burden by providing assistance for every child, enabling them to continue their children's education with greater confidence.
The women also said they had witnessed significant improvements in government schools, including better infrastructure, enhanced teaching standards and hygienic, nutritious mid-day meals, which have encouraged more parents to enrol their children in government institutions.
They further highlighted the benefits of the Stri Shakti free bus travel scheme, stating that it has enabled them to travel to nearby towns for small business activities, helping improve their household incomes and financial independence.
Education Minister Nara Lokesh informed the Chief Minister that the government had extended the Talliki Vandanam benefit to eligible Anganwadi staff in response to their concerns.
The Chief Minister appreciated students for nurturing saplings on the school campus and noted that each plant carries a QR code that provides information about the tree. Students have also been issued Green Passports to encourage environmental awareness and long-term care of the plants.
Calling on students to play an active role in increasing Andhra Pradesh's green cover, Naidu urged them to continue protecting and nurturing the saplings they had adopted.
Earlier, the Chief Minister and Education Minister Nara Lokesh received a traditional welcome from tribal women. They paid floral tributes to the statue of freedom fighter Alluri Sitarama Raju and offered prayers to Goddess Saraswati before participating in the programme.
The interaction concluded with the Chief Minister and the Education Minister taking selfies with the tribal women.
