Additional Secretary A. Anbarasu praised Hindustan Shipyard Limited's transformation and urged employees to work with unity and commitment to make it India's leading shipyard.

Visakhapatnam: A. Anbarasu, IAS, Additional Secretary and Director General (Acquisition), Department of Defence, Ministry of Defence, commended Hindustan Shipyard Limited (HSL) for its transformation and growing capabilities during an interaction with employees at the shipyard on Saturday.
Praising HSL's sustained growth, end-to-end shipbuilding ecosystem and expertise in delivering strategically important defence platforms, Anbarasu described the organisation as India's premier defence shipyard on the East Coast. He lauded the dedication of the workforce and said the positive energy and expanding capabilities of the organisation reflected its remarkable progress.
Addressing employees, he urged them to place organisational interests above individual priorities and emphasised that every employee has an important role in nation-building. He called upon Team HSL to work with unity, purpose and commitment to take the shipyard to greater heights.
Responding to the encouragement, Rear Admiral Chandrasekhar Raghuram, VSM (Retd.), Chairman and Managing Director of HSL, thanked the visiting dignitary for his guidance and reaffirmed the organisation's long-term vision.
He said that while HSL aspires to remain the premier shipyard on India's East Coast, the larger goal is to become the country's best shipyard and build world-class ships for global markets. He expressed confidence that the collective efforts of Team HSL would help realise this vision.
The interaction concluded with employees reaffirming their commitment to excellence, teamwork and innovation as HSL continues to strengthen its position in India's defence manufacturing ecosystem.
