False Propaganda Won't Diminish DSC Success, Says Kancharla Srikanth

TDP MLC Kancharla Srikanth strongly criticized the YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) for what he described as a deliberate campaign of misinformation over the successful completion of the Mega DSC recruitment process by the Coalition Government.
Addressing a media conference at NTR Bhavan in Mangalagiri on Monday, Srikanth said political criticism should have limits and dignity. He stated that the Telugu Desam Party has always fought political battles on policies and governance issues rather than indulging in personal attacks. In contrast, he alleged that YSRCP's politics has been built on revenge, destruction, and false propaganda.
The TDP leader said the five-year rule of the previous YSRCP government was marked by a complete lack of employment generation. He accused former Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy of misleading unemployed youth by repeatedly promising to release a Job Calendar on January 1 every year but failing to fulfill that commitment.
"Not a single Job Calendar was released. Not even one DSC notification was issued during the entire five-year tenure," Srikanth said. He alleged that the previous government not only failed to create government jobs but also drove away industries that had been brought to the state during the 2014-2019 period. As a result, both government and private employment opportunities suffered, forcing the state's youth to endure years of uncertainty and hardship.
Recalling Nara Lokesh's Yuvagalam Padayatra, Srikanth said thousands of representations seeking employment opportunities were submitted by young people from every constituency in the state. Responding to those aspirations, Chandrababu Naidu had promised in Kuppam that his first signature after returning to power would be on the Mega DSC file. According to Srikanth, the Coalition Government fulfilled that promise immediately after assuming office.
He noted that despite more than one hundred court cases being filed in an attempt to obstruct the recruitment process, the government remained committed and moved forward without hesitation. Under the supervision of Minister Nara Lokesh, the entire DSC process was conducted in a transparent and technology-driven manner, he said.
"The online examinations, certificate verification, and selection process were all carried out with complete transparency. The government successfully completed the DSC process without leaving room for any credible allegation," Srikanth stated.
He further said the Coalition Government is committed to strengthening public education and improving standards in government schools. As an example, he pointed out that, for the first time in the state's history, the performance of government schools was publicly showcased through newspaper advertisements on par with corporate educational institutions. He said this reflected the significant improvements being achieved in the public education system.
Responding to allegations made by YSRCP regarding Sports Quota appointments, Srikanth dismissed them as baseless and politically motivated. He pointed out that 39 posts under the Sports Quota remain vacant even today.
"If there had been any wrongdoing, why would these posts still remain vacant?" he asked, accusing YSRCP leaders of making irresponsible statements without understanding the facts.
The TDP MLC also strongly objected to statements made by YSRCP leaders claiming that they would cancel the DSC recruitment if they returned to power. He described such remarks as a direct attack on the aspirations of unemployed youth and said it was highly irresponsible to play politics with the future of more than 16,000 job aspirants.
Srikanth urged candidates who secured employment through the DSC process not to be misled by what he termed YSRCP's false propaganda. He assured them that the Coalition Government had conducted the recruitment process fairly, transparently, and strictly according to established procedures.
"The government will always stand by the selected candidates and protect their legitimate rights. Attempts to create fear and uncertainty among unemployed youth must stop immediately," he said.
Concluding his remarks, Srikanth accused YSRCP of running a "factory of lies" to undermine a recruitment process that has brought relief and hope to thousands of young people. He asserted that the successful completion of the Mega DSC reflects the Coalition Government's commitment to delivering on its promises and restoring confidence among the state's youth.
