Former Minister Kodali Nani claimed 'Prashna' Ravan has no connection with YSRCP and accused the TDP of spreading false propaganda while alleging misuse of legal provisions against critics.

Gudivada: Former Minister Kodali Nani on Wednesday asserted that social media commentator 'Prashna' Ravan has no association with the YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) and alleged that the ruling coalition was attempting to falsely portray him as a YSRCP supporter through what he described as a coordinated propaganda campaign.
Speaking to the media in Gudivada, Kodali Nani claimed that Ravan had maintained close ties with Telugu Desam Party (TDP) leaders, including Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu, Minister Nara Lokesh and actor-politician Nandamuri Balakrishna. He alleged that sections of the media aligned with the TDP were deliberately spreading misinformation regarding Ravan's political affiliation.
The former minister accused the coalition government of adopting vindictive measures against individuals who question its policies and decisions. He said Ravan had never faced action during earlier years because he had not criticised TDP leaders, adding that the situation changed only after he began criticising Jana Sena president and Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan.
Kodali Nani said that during the YSRCP government, criticism was accepted in a democratic spirit and no attempts were made to silence dissenting voices. He alleged that the present government was invoking new legal provisions to target individuals who criticised the administration.
He further claimed that Jana Sena leaders had repeatedly filed complaints against Ravan, forcing him to make multiple visits to police stations. According to Kodali Nani, the alleged harassment continued despite courts granting bail, with authorities using fresh legal provisions to prolong action against him.
Accusing the ruling coalition of attempting to suppress public opinion, Kodali Nani said such efforts would not succeed in the long run. He urged people not to believe what he described as misleading campaigns circulated through TDP-aligned media and social media platforms and maintained that the truth regarding Ravan's political affiliations would eventually become clear.
