Manipal Hospital Vijayawada wins two ET Healthcare Awards 2026 for organ transplantation excellence and orthopaedic care in South India.

Vijayawada: Manipal Hospital Vijayawada has received two prestigious honours at the 6th Edition of the ET Healthcare Awards 2026, reaffirming its growing role in delivering specialised and advanced healthcare services in South India.
The hospital was recognised with the Hospital of the Year – Organ Transplantation – South award for its expertise in organ transplantation, multidisciplinary clinical care and focus on comprehensive, patient-centric treatment.
In a second achievement, Dr. G V Reddy, Senior Consultant – Orthopaedics and Robotic Joint Replacement Surgery, Manipal Hospital Vijayawada, was honoured with the Orthopaedic Surgeon of the Year – South award. The recognition acknowledges his contribution to advanced orthopaedic care and joint replacement surgery.
Manipal Hospital Vijayawada’s transplant programme provides specialised services across multiple organ systems, supported by a multidisciplinary team of specialists. The programme includes heart, liver and kidney transplantation, along with other specialised transplant services.
The liver transplant programme is led by Dr. Tom Cherian, Senior Consultant – Liver Transplant Surgery, while Dr. Dilip Ratti, Senior Consultant – Cardiothoracic, Minimal Invasive, Robotic and Heart Surgery, contributes expertise in heart transplantation.
Kidney transplant services are supported by Dr. A V S S N Sridhar, Consultant Nephrologist and Renal Transplant Physician, and Dr. Ravi Sankar Ganji, Consultant – Urology, Renal Transplant Surgery & Robotic Surgery.
The coordinated efforts of specialists across these disciplines enable the hospital to provide transplant care spanning patient evaluation, surgical intervention and post-transplant management.
The individual recognition for Dr. G V Reddy adds another dimension to the hospital’s achievements. His Orthopaedic Surgeon of the Year – South award highlights the expertise available at Manipal Hospital Vijayawada in advanced orthopaedic treatment and robotic joint replacement surgery.
