YSRCP MLC Parvathareddy Chandrasekhar Reddy demanded a CBI probe into alleged Mega DSC-2025 irregularities, including question-paper leaks, Sports Quota and normalisation issues.
Tadepalli: YSRCP MLC Parvathareddy Chandrasekhar Reddy has demanded an immediate CBI investigation into alleged irregularities in the Mega DSC-2025 recruitment process, saying Education Minister Nara Lokesh should resign to facilitate a transparent and independent probe.
Addressing the media at the YSRCP Central Office in Tadepalli, Chandrasekhar Reddy clarified that his party was not demanding cancellation of the DSC recruitment or removal of candidates who had already secured appointments.
Instead, he said, the YSRCP was seeking a comprehensive investigation into alleged irregularities and justice for candidates who may have been affected.
Chandrasekhar Reddy said the case involving Purama Naveen was central to the allegations surrounding the DSC examination.
According to the MLC, Naveen was an outsourcing employee at SCERT, an institution involved in the preparation of examination question papers, and secured first rank in one category and sixth rank in another.
He further alleged that candidates had produced evidence claiming that question papers were circulated among students and coaching centres.
The MLC claimed that similar allegations were emerging from Madanapalle, Ongole and other districts, involving individuals allegedly connected to question-paper preparation, coaching centres and candidates who secured high ranks.
These allegations have been raised by the YSRCP and would require investigation by competent authorities to establish their veracity.
Chandrasekhar Reddy also alleged widespread irregularities in Sports Quota recruitment.
He claimed that certain Government Orders were used to bypass examinations and alleged preferential treatment for sports federations and associations.
He further alleged that participation certificates were used for appointments and that discrepancies were found between highest-achievement and backup certificates.
The MLC claimed that certificates belonging to different individuals were combined and that documents without proper signatures were accepted during the recruitment process.
He also alleged that Sports Quota certificates uploaded on the government website were subsequently tampered with after former Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy raised the issue.
The YSRCP MLC also raised questions over TET eligibility criteria, vertical and horizontal reservations and the normalisation process used in the recruitment.
He alleged that marks were increased by as much as six marks in certain examination sessions, arguing that even a fraction of a mark could determine whether a candidate was selected.
Chandrasekhar Reddy further alleged that candidates who questioned the recruitment process were targeted with criminal cases, including cases related to songs performed during peaceful protests.
The MLC said the YSRCP would raise the alleged DSC irregularities during the upcoming Legislative Council session and seek answers from the government.
"We are asking only for a CBI probe. If there was no wrongdoing, the investigation will clear everyone. Lokesh must resign first and allow the truth to come out," he said.
The YSRCP leader reiterated that the party's demand was for an independent investigation rather than cancellation of the recruitment process.
