Fight Chandrababu’s misrule, protect Minority rights: Sajjala

YSRCP State Coordinator Sajjala Ramakrishna Reddy called upon party leaders and the Minority Wing to wage a strong ideological and democratic struggle against the Chandrababu Naidu-led coalition government's anti-people policies, alleging that minorities have been left without welfare, political representation, or even basic protection. Addressing the State-level Minority Wing meeting at the YSRCP Central Office in Tadepalli, attended by YSRCP General Secretary Lella Appi Reddy, MLCs M.D. Ruhulla and Isaac Basha, Minority Wing President Khader Basha, Working President Hafeez Khan, and leaders from across the State, Sajjala urged minority leaders to emerge as champions of public causes rather than limiting themselves to community issues.
He said Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy pursued politics with public welfare as his sole objective and brought transformative reforms in education, healthcare, agriculture, and welfare, significantly improving the lives of the poor. However, he alleged that various political forces united through false propaganda to defeat a pro-poor government and that the coalition government, despite coming to power on lofty promises, had failed to implement its "Super Six" assurances while weakening existing welfare schemes. He further claimed that the present government had borrowed in just two years what the YSRCP government borrowed over five years without delivering any meaningful development.
Responding to recent political remarks, Sajjala said that if YSRCP was being branded a "Goddali Party," it was akin to Lord Parashurama's axe that fights injustice and oppressive forces. He criticised the government for indulging in political theatrics instead of addressing public issues and alleged irregularities in DSC-2025 recruitment, stating that even genuine grievances raised by unemployed youth were being ignored. He asserted that YSRCP had filled lakhs of jobs transparently during its tenure and reiterated that the party would continue to stand firmly with minorities.
Leaders of the Minority Wing accused the coalition government of betraying the Muslim community by failing to fulfil election promises and neglecting minority welfare after assuming office. They highlighted that over Rs. 23,000 crore had been spent on minority welfare through DBT and non-DBT schemes during the YSRCP government and alleged that the present administration had failed to honour Haj assistance commitments, weakened the Minority Finance Corporation, and endangered Waqf properties while treating minorities merely as a vote bank. They also credited Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy with empowering minorities politically after the late Dr. Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy by providing leadership opportunities and safeguarding minority interests.
The meeting also focused on the ongoing Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls, with leaders urging minorities and party cadres to remain vigilant against any attempt to remove genuine voters from the electoral rolls. Sajjala warned that fearing electoral defeat, the ruling coalition could target YSRCP-supporting voters during the revision process and called upon every party worker to create awareness about the house-to-house survey beginning on June 15. Minority leaders explained the documentation and enumeration process and appealed to Booth Level Agents to ensure that no eligible minority voter loses their franchise.
Calling upon party cadres to strengthen the organisation ahead of the local body elections, Sajjala said every committed worker would receive due recognition in the future. He urged leaders to expose what he described as the coalition government's failures while taking the welfare initiatives implemented under the YSRCP government to the people through grassroots campaigns, social media, and digital platforms.
