YSRCP president Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy assured people that his party would continue to fight for public issues after hearing grievances during a Praja Darbar in Pulivendula.

Pulivendula: YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) president and former Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy on Monday assured people that the party would continue to fight for issues concerning the poor, students, senior citizens and other deserving sections after hearing public grievances during a Praja Darbar in Pulivendula.
Jagan arrived in Pulivendula on a two-day visit to participate in the birth anniversary observances of former Chief Minister Dr. Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy. After reaching his camp office at Bhakarapuram, he held a Praja Darbar, where people, party workers, youth and representatives of various organisations submitted petitions highlighting their concerns.
Several petitioners alleged that eligible beneficiaries were not receiving welfare scheme benefits, new social security pensions were not being sanctioned and programmes such as fee reimbursement had come to a halt. After hearing the representations, Jagan assured them that the YSRCP would continue to raise issues affecting vulnerable sections and strive to ensure that eligible beneficiaries receive justice.
Representatives of the Andhra Pradesh Federation of Teachers' Associations (FAPTO), YSR Kadapa district, also met the former Chief Minister and submitted a memorandum seeking exemption for in-service teachers from the Teacher Eligibility Test (TET). They also requested amendments to provisions of the Right to Education Act.
Responding to their representation, Jagan assured the delegation that YSRCP Members of Parliament would take up the issue with the Union Government and meet Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan to seek a resolution.
As part of his visit, Jagan is scheduled to travel to Idupulapaya on Tuesday to offer special prayers and pay floral tributes at the YSR Ghat on the birth anniversary of former Chief Minister Dr. Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy.
The visit is expected to include interactions with party leaders and supporters participating in the commemorative programmes.
