Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu expressed grief over the deaths of three Andhra Pradesh residents in the Vietnam boat accident and directed officials to assist affected families.

Amaravati: Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu expressed profound grief over the tourist boat accident in Vietnam that claimed the lives of three residents of Andhra Pradesh and directed officials to extend all possible assistance to the affected families and tourists.
According to the Chief Minister's Office, a total of 33 people from Andhra Pradesh had travelled to Vietnam as part of a tour. Of them, 19 tourists were on board the boat that met with the accident. Three people lost their lives, while the remaining passengers were rescued. One tourist sustained serious injuries and is currently undergoing treatment.
Expressing deep sorrow over the tragedy, the Chief Minister described the loss of lives as extremely distressing and conveyed his heartfelt condolences to the bereaved families.
Naidu immediately reviewed the situation with senior officials and sought details regarding the relief measures being extended to the victims, the condition of the injured and the status of the rescued tourists.
He directed officials to take immediate steps to facilitate the safe return of all the surviving tourists from Vietnam to Andhra Pradesh. The Chief Minister also instructed officials to remain in constant touch with the families of the deceased and ensure that every necessary assistance is extended to them during this difficult time.
To strengthen coordination, Naidu directed officials at Andhra Pradesh Bhavan in New Delhi to work closely with the Indian Embassy in Vietnam and the Vietnamese authorities to provide all required support to the affected tourists and their families.
The Chief Minister emphasised that the State Government would continue to monitor the situation until all the survivors safely returned home and all assistance required by the affected families was provided without delay.
