YSRCP president Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy expressed grief over the Vietnam boat tragedy, urged governments to assist stranded Telugu tourists and intensify search operations for the missing.

Tadepalli: YSR Congress Party President and former Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy expressed profound grief over the tragic boat accident at Ha Long Bay in Vietnam that claimed the lives of several tourists, including people from Andhra Pradesh and Telangana.
In a statement issued on Saturday, Jagan described the accident involving a boat carrying Indian tourists as deeply tragic and said he was shocked by the loss of lives. He expressed particular anguish over reports that several mobile distributors from the Kadapa and Machilipatnam regions of Andhra Pradesh were among those who died in the mishap.
Conveying his heartfelt condolences to the bereaved families, Jagan prayed for strength and courage for the families to cope with the irreparable loss. He also wished a speedy recovery to those injured in the accident.
The former Chief Minister urged both the Central Government and the governments of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana to extend immediate assistance to Telugu tourists who remain stranded in Vietnam. He appealed to the authorities to ensure all necessary support, including coordination with local authorities and the Indian diplomatic mission, to help the affected families.
Jagan also called upon the concerned officials to intensify search and rescue operations to trace those who are still reported missing. He stressed that every possible effort should be made to locate the missing persons and provide timely assistance to the victims and their relatives.
Appealing for a coordinated humanitarian response, Jagan urged the authorities to take special measures for the safe return of Telugu tourists stranded in Vietnam. He said the governments should stand by the affected families during this difficult time and ensure that all necessary support is extended until every stranded individual is safely brought back home.
