Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu met Singapore PM Lawrence Wong to discuss semiconductors, quantum technologies, Amaravati development, trade cooperation, air connectivity and green energy investments.

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu met Singapore Prime Minister Lawrence Wong during his two-day visit to Singapore, holding wide-ranging discussions on strengthening cooperation in technology, urban development, semiconductors, quantum technologies, education, trade and sustainable development.
During the 30-minute meeting at the Prime Minister's official residence, Chandrababu Naidu invited Singapore to explore the import of horticulture and aquaculture products from Andhra Pradesh, particularly those produced through natural farming methods. He highlighted the state's efforts to promote sustainable agriculture and develop certification and traceability systems to ensure international quality standards.
The Chief Minister sought Singapore's support in emerging sectors such as semiconductors, artificial intelligence, quantum technologies, and university-led research and innovation. He proposed collaboration in building semiconductor manufacturing ecosystems and skill development initiatives in Andhra Pradesh.
Naidu also emphasized the importance of urban governance and invited Singapore to partner with Andhra Pradesh in strengthening city management systems in Amaravati and other urban centres. He proposed deeper cooperation in port-led development, airport infrastructure, logistics and future economic opportunities.
During the discussions, Prime Minister Lawrence Wong expressed interest in the progress of Amaravati and sought details about educational institutions, infrastructure projects and urban planning initiatives underway in the capital region. Responding to the queries, Naidu outlined his vision of developing Amaravati into a globally benchmarked, future-ready and liveable capital city.
The Chief Minister also briefed the Singapore leader on Andhra Pradesh's healthcare initiatives, demographic management strategies and the state's ambitious goal of generating 160 GW of green energy. The leaders exchanged views on global demographic challenges, affordable housing, childcare support systems and the future growth potential of manufacturing and supply chain industries in India.
Following the meeting, Chandrababu Naidu held talks with Singapore Foreign Minister Dr. Vivian Balakrishnan, focusing on strengthening strategic ties and enhancing air connectivity between Andhra Pradesh and Singapore. Discussions also covered green hydrogen, green ammonia, port-led growth, Visakhapatnam's emerging data centre ecosystem, subsea cable connectivity and plans to develop Amaravati as a "Quantum Valley."
